While working as an independent consultant, Paola represented national and foreign investors in the construction industry and has overseen several construction projects. She is particularly proud of several projects she developed in her hometown of Cartagena, Colombia, among which are the Mangrove Spirit Park and The Blue Crab Park where she coordinated and directed most of the activities from conception to completion.

These projects are considered excellent examples of urban intervention to improve the environment, security, and coexistence among neighbors of the community.
