Thanks for your feedback. The unnamed drive has a blank blue box in the volume column in the upper window. The unnamed drive is shaded crosshatched in the lower window. When I right-click on it in either window the only choice is Help. Also, an unknown device keeps being re-installed every few minutes, even after I uninstall it in Device Manager. What is this? This has happened when nothing was plugged into a USB port except the mouse.
When I plug in the thumb drive after uninstalling all unknown devices two unknown devices appear in Device Manager. When I unplug the thumb drive, only one device disappears.
Windows has determined that the driver software for your device is up to date.
